Plants and Mental Health

  • UCR Student Rec Center (map)

In this experiential workshop, I will introduce students and staff to the concept of Mālama ‘Aina by introducing them to succulent care. Community members will learn about the plant, select their own succulent, pot their own succulent, and how to care for it. Attendees will also learn about the symbiotic relationship we have with plants and how we can all re-conceptualize our relationship the earth. Attendees will be encouraged to consider expanding their plant knowledge and consider herbs or fruits/veggies they would like to use to create self sufficiency and long term sustainability.
